樓上都錯誤了，問題的提問句型也是錯的。
is there還是are there 都是一般疑問句，問的是有沒有，不是有幾個。
there are how many boxes on the table ? 這更錯離譜了，這中式英語了都。
1.樓主要提問的是幾個盒子，問的是數量，可以這麼問：
how many boxes are there on the table?
很多個，如5個：there are 5 boxes on the table.
只有乙個：there is only one.
2.樓主問題後面又用「是用is there a box ..還是are there any box"
如果是要用一般疑問句：
is there a box on the table? 桌子上是不是有個盒子？（這邊重點突出了數量1個）
are there any boxes on the table? 桌子上是不是有些盒子？（不知道數量的情況下可以用這個）
樓主的「are there any box」是錯誤的，前面are是複數，後面box也必須保持一致用複數。

比如說，在桌子上有幾個盒子？there are how many boxes on the table ?
如果只有1個，就用there is句型，there is only one.
如果有多個，就用there be句型。there are two boxes on the table.

1、對主語提問：當主語是人時，用 「who』s + 介詞短語？」；當主語是物時，用 「what』s + 介詞短語？
其中there在口語中常常省略。注意：
無論原句的主語是運逗公升單數還是複數，對其提問時一般都用be的單數形式(時卻要根據實際情況來決定)。如：
there is a bird in the tree. →what』s in the tree?
there are some bikes over there. →what』s over there?
there is a little girl in the room. →who is in the room?
2、對地點狀語提問：用 「where is \ are + 主語？」表示（注意其答語變化）：例如：
there is a computer in my office.
where is the computer? -it』s in my office.
there are four children in the classroom.
where are the four children?—they』 re in the classroom.
3、 對數量提問：一般有兩種提問方式：
如果主語是可數名詞，無論是單數還是複數，都用「how many +可數名詞複數+ are there + 介詞短指告語？」表示：
there are twelve months in a year.
how many months are there in a year?
there is only one book in my bag.
how many books are there in your bag?
there is a cat in the box.
how many cats are there in the box?
如果主語是不可數名詞，則用「 how much + 不可數名詞 + is there + 介詞短語？」表示：
